This is what Fried Rice looks like when I follow the recipe found on the NY Times website.
It was super tasty and I highly recommend it. Above Hillary is putting the finishing touches on the vegetable that she brought with her. Hillary sure knows how to bring a dark green vegetable that compliments NY Times Fried Rice.
Best part - the egg makes the most euphonious sound as it is fried in peanut oil sunny side up and then placed on top of the rice. The rice is mixed with chopped leeks. I didn't know what a leek was so I had to ask the grocer. Then I didn't know how to cut a leek so some nice lady on youtube showed me how (thanks nice lady).
